SJ Lee
Co- Director
SJ Lee is a passionate, driven and caring Chartered Physiotherapist. He has extensive experience working within the NHS, professional sports and occupational health.
SJ’s passion for sport and rugby began as a young player where he had the honour of captaining the Hong Kong National Rugby Football Union Youth team. Following 4 seasons with Newcastle Falcons as full time 1st team Physiotherapist, SJ set up Activate Physiotherapy (our sister company) in 2013 to balance his work and family life.
By sea, land and air can summarise SJs other interests……you might find him out on the water with his trusty sidekick, Murphy the Labrador, on a paddleboard.
He is a keen motor sport enthusiast, works closely with Chrissy Rouse (Pirelli National Superstock Champion 2020), and can regularly be found out on his Triumph Bobber cruising around Northumberland. He has an enthusiastic appreciation and interest for all sports, as most Crossfit athletes in the North East will know.
Who knows, SJ may take up flying lessons soon!!! He was born in South Korea and raised in Hong Kong before moving to the UK to study Physiotherapy.
SJ progressed his skills originally by working in the NHS initially as a Physiotherapist before being promoted to Clinical Lead, Northumbria Trust. SJ is one of a very few clinicians in the north who practices Dry Needling having been personally trained by Dr. Claire Waumsely from The Dry Needling Institute of South Africa. Other post graduate certificates include qualifications from the McKenzie Institute which specialise in diagnosing and treating mechanical neck and back pain. His other certificates include qualifications in a wide range of clinical specialties in manual therapy, acupuncture and exercise therapy.
It’s not all work, as SJ gives back yearly by supporting Good causes such as Luo Care, Love Grace amongst others.
